Passenger Information System for Białystok Railway Station

Investment

The renovation and modernization of the historic railway station, which dates back to 1862 and entered into the register of monuments, has been completed. The aim of the reconstruction of the railway station in Białystok was to create a high-quality space for passenger service, covered by legible and visually attractive passenger information, fully adapted to the use of the facility by people with reduced mobility. The Dysten company provided a railway passenger information system in line with the IPI-6 guidelines prepared by PKP PLK. A modern system of electronic arrival and departure boards has been installed in the station area.

The reconstruction of the railway station in Białystok is the largest investment of PKP PLK in the Podlaskie Voivodeship and one of the key investments in the country under the Railway Station Investments Program for 2016-2023, with EU funds from the Connecting Europe Facility CEF.

The Białystok station is the main railway junction of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. The international railway line Warsaw – Białystok – Vilnius – Petersburg, which is part of the E-75 Rail Baltica railway line, runs through the station.
